Dairyland Greyhound Racing closing!

900 greyhounds will need to be adopted or placed in foster homes or kennels by 12-31-09 or they will be DEAD!

We just emailed to apply to be a foster family at www.gpawisconsin.org .

What can you do to help?

UPDATE: after more in depth research, it turns out that Wisconsin will keep any greyhounds in the park until they are all accounted for.

There is an email circulating around on the internet that is fueling false and hurtful information. Please don't drink the Kool-Aid! The email states that 900 dogs from Dairyland will be put to sleep and we only have 6 weeks to move those dogs. The email is signed from someone who's title is "operations manager" and it infers that they work at Dairyland.

THIS INFORMATION IS FALSE!

I have confirmation from the State of Wisconsin that all the dogs at Dairyland will be accounted for and can stay at the facility as long as it takes to find adoption groups for them.

Please if you receive this email, do not forward it. Refer people to this forum and these threads for accurate information. GPA National is currently working on a public response to this email, and as soon as I have that, I'll post it here.
