It was a busy Donuts Saturday, I can say that because I did not even get to have a donuts. The neighborhood donuts connoisseurs did not even stopped by as I expected with media exposure.
I am happy to report that the shop mascot is in a safe, undisclosed location, a lot of people offered shelter, and I think this is the best place for him to be. You might see him pop up here and there, but that is not for me to say right now. ( Even my wife and my partners do not know the top secret placement. )
Tomorrow is for us to clean out the front room, the official demo day for us while Flux is coming in on Monday. You can see the huge dumpster outside in the parking lot already!
I know I am a little sad, not that I do not want to see the new Galleria, it was just that I spent 2 weeks there everyday setting things up, before the rest of the crew assembled. I was just mourning the old, and really, the setup we are going to tore down is good enough as a tattoo shop as is, but we want it better, and Waukesha deserves an upscale tattoo shop/ gallery, it is the next level to continue the long tattoo culture of Waukesha. My wife too is a little sad, and by tomorrow, it will be like when we bought the building.
The thing is that I am booked for the first week of May already! However, I have no doubt Flux is pushing things ahead in whatever element they can control. A lot is going to happen in these three weeks, and the change is going to be shockingly sweet, that I can promise you. Remember, our goal was to live up to the standard set by certain house four doors down, not in the same style but it should be an unique Waukesha destination. The beautiful West End will be the place to visit!
