Showing off Waukesha

I invited one of my good friends, a potential investor, for a tour of downtown Waukesha. I started the tour by showing him the famous Hekkers' House and the classic car collection was outside! I really think they can charge for tours.

He was also impressed with People's Park that he requested again. The service was great as usual and I think I finished the Valley Burger in 5 seconds. We then visited The Potter's Shop where I had bought two concrete benches already, I think there might be a third in the future!

We then walked across to Black Trumpet in search of the $1 martini but that was only for Tuesday! Not too disappointed that I soon found the $3 House wine cab which was DELICIOUS! ( Come on, I am on vacation! ) It is a very nice bar, it is really a gem.

The next stop was Gen 5, I was happy to find Alterra coffee and he found O'Douls. We admired the interior design and there are some beautiful 3 forms with water waves. Theiss Design did a great job!

I showed him where the farmers' market will be and it is coming up in May, folks! He was amazed with all the developments as we walked down the river and through Main Street Plaza and we ended up at Allo! Chocolat. By the way, there are some Easter chocolate at great discount and I could not pass them up! I also had to get some chocolate covered bacon, they are oh so tasty. Don't forget to donate a dollar to Haiti relief, I promised to do that at Waukesha Tattoo but we are renovating right now! Oops.

I was pretty full but I was tempted by a Daily Double at Rochester Deli. He did break down at Poppin' On Broadway. Over all he was amazed at the development of downtown Waukesha, but does that translate into his investment into a building here? He knows any eatery goes into O'Brian's building will be a goldmine. Stay tuned!

P.S. It was indeed called Moxie, the soon to be opened upscale salon/ lounge two doors down. My apology.

  1. Your investor friend sounds really cool. I wonder what else Main street needs? It really seems to have everything one needs to have a full day? hmm
the business owners on main seem to be really nice. Would be cool if you talked more about them and what they offer. anyways can't wait to see your new building.
