Sammie is in emergency vet hospital

Last night Sammie was very calm and cuddle-y. This morning he was sleeping by my side all morning. He did not even want to go to the automatic feeder. His eyes were still alert, and after he happily ate some dog food, I thought he is ok, just might have some sport injury from his usual rough playing.

When Rachel came home he was not moving well, and then he fell down the stairs. Rachel rushed him to the emergency vet. I did not receive the news until after one of my meetings and I soon rushed to the emergency vet as well.

The initial result is that he had a deep inner ear infection, and today was the tipping point. We will know more once he go through the surgery to clean out deep in his ear. He is staying overnight for observation right now.

Sammie is a survivor, he is fearless. He once ate a bag of coffee beans, but luckily he puked it all out. We do not know how many of his nine lives are left but we will do whatever we can to help him. If you can spare a little prayer, that would be nice.

Sammie's condition is the same overnight, likely dazed and confused. Now we wait for the surgeon to weight in on the next step.
