An exercise in Zen

Bill and I used to do target archery, and we would compete with each other with the loser buying lunch. I had not done so since he passed away. Yesterday was a good day to get the dust off the bow and also a chance to check out the new place by Shugar's brothers.

I am definitely a little out of shape, my arms were tired after about 140 arrows shot. I was all over the place with my groupings. Perhaps I will need to practice more to get back into that Zen state.

What would Bill think of the place? I know he would be sitting in the bar watching the Packers instead of shooting arrows with several kids around... I did not mind however, that was how I started doing archery in Taiwan. Watching fathers teaching their sons, it reminds me how I really treasure the relationship I had with Bill, part mentor, part friends, and I think he enjoyed that too.
