Did you see the photo of Mayor Scrima striking a Superman's pose for United Way's Flash Mob event on the front page of Freeman few days ago?
I just want to say the positive publicity is what he needs and we need more of it.
So what if Waukesha has a Weak Mayor/Strong Council system, do the best you can, make lemonade out of lemon, play the hands you get, be known as a engaging mayor to the community in a positive way.
People are tired of reading negative attacks on the council on Sound Off. Be the Super Scrima, and rise above all the dumb high school-ish stuff. One thing former Mayor Nelson did right was all the photo ops on ribbon cuttings, and he was at a lot of community meeting and he was accessible. Be the glue that holds things together, rather than be the force that tears things apart.
