Change of commenting rule

I am removing the anonymous option from commenting for now. A lot of sensitive and dividing issues coming up in downtown Waukesha... Just a precautionary measure...

I can say that one side of the FFNL/street closing issue is not making friends, but I can also understand that the only way to go is attack, attack, attack if you are on the side losing the edge. All is coming to a head and it will be an interesting Common Council meeting. I will not be able to attend and report due to a rather large back piece tattoo I will be working on, but I will have my TV on.

On defending Chef Tony, he is my friend and so is Jody. A lot of people want to see him fail for many reasons, and he also made some mistakes, I will continue to support them both and the rest is for the law to decide. Their personal lives are still theirs and their business is bigger than what Tony did or did not do off the clock, there are real people and jobs at stake.

Thank you for understanding.

  1. I cannot fathom why people would want to see Tony fail. He resurrected an almost dead restaurant in the Clarke Hotel and turned a vacant storefront into a great place for tasty casual food. He is providing a nice experience for FNL attendees with his street food and the bounce house and he seems to be interested in bringing more food events to Waukesha, such as bringing in Josie from Top Chef for a stint.

I thing domestic violence is deplorable but none of us were there so we don't know what happened that night. That will work itself out through the legal process. If he and his fiancee can work through the issues and stay out of trouble I think Waukesha residents should give him a second chance. We need more people like him investing in downtown.
