Here is the Downtown Task Force agenda, it means I have to find a way to get around a full schedule to sit in about the "Parking Solution." (Despite repeated warning how the angle parking will be " shoved down my throat.") Not sure who wrote up the topics, but come on, topic 3e is pretty clear to be pointed at the Hekkers and I am not even defending any of their actions. This is such a bad faith to start out this group. Mayor Scrima is manipulating the downtown dynamics so badly... I mean, REALLY!? There are serious issues to be discussed and there is no room for this noob move...
I am surprised that the Guitar Town steering committee did not put its foot down yet with all the controversy with BID/New Day Fund/Mayor. People on this group have now risk their reputation, and even if there is no wrong doing, the stubbornness of being secretive by the mayor and his recklessness with Conflict of Interest issues will become a liability. Instead of having this perception of going after Hekkers as a Wag the Dog move, I would like to see the mayor come out clean and explain his dealing with BID, apologize to Wiggy, and stop hurting this potentially great project needlessly.
We don't need an Occupy Main Street movement because we already do, we are the business people, residents, renters, and property owners saying ENOUGH ALREADY! The drama needs to stop, and we need PEACE ON MAIN! We want to talk about how to cross promote, how to pool our resources, how to improve accessibility, not who is on whose side or who is standing too close to whom.
Congrats!!!
This is how you handle a PR nightmare.
Can't wait!
SOUND OFF
POLICE BLOTTER
Don't worry, it is not me...
Maybe one day the WTC rooster will be in there too...
I need to mention that our acupuncturist Robin, Ms. Kool and I had a wonderful meal at Key Westconsin. Robin requires Gluten Free diet and she was quite impressed. Chef came out and explain the careful process of separating Gluten and gluten free cooking, and the street whisper is true, the gluten free fish fry is delicious! I would order that next time regardless. The crab cake also lived up to all the raving I have heard... Robin was quite happy that there were gluten free dessert too. I had to have some homemade key lime pie.
Have a great weekend everyone... Crazy week coming...
