I received a phone call from Freeman, I thought I was in trouble... What did I write in the blog about Darryl's column that sounded the alarm? Well, here is Freeman's retraction.

Hi George,
Here is the retraction that we will also be running in Thursday's Freeman
on the Opinion page. Thank you for helping us to get the correct information
out there and to inform the public.

RETRACTION
A column by Darryl Enriquez in Wednesday¹s Freeman incorrectly stated the
circumstances regarding the departure of Karen Richards from her position as
executive director of the Waukesha Business Improvement District. In fact,
Richards resigned, telling The Freeman in October 2010 she left of her ³own
free will,² and stating in her letter of resignation she was looking forward
to ³future opportunities.²
We sincerely apologize and regret the error.

The truth? Karen resigned, and the other two female staff left too. I think I wrote about it then and running with the bulls was the theme.
